Joaquim was born on August 16th, 1858.  Joaquim's father was Miquel Sabrià Novells (StIscle-Gualta) and his mother was Catalina Ribot (Casavells).  His paternal grandparents were Pedro Sabrià (StHiscle) and Catalina Novells Castellá (Vilasacra-Gualta). He had three brothers and three sisters, named Critóbal, Pedro, Francisca, Joaquima, Maria and Sabrià Ribot (Gualta).  He was the youngest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 2 on November 29th, 1860.
