Gertrudis was born in 1872.  Gertrudis' father was José Sabrià Cortada TdeM and her mother was Joaquima Sabrià Ribot (Gualta).  Her paternal grandparents were Juan Sabriá Frigola (Pals-Gualta) and Gertrudis Cortada Casagran (Gualta-Gualta); her maternal grandparents were Miquel Sabrià Novells (StIscle-Gualta) and Catalina Ribot (Casavells). She had two brothers and five sisters, named Miquel, Martin, Catalina, Maria de Gracia, Francisca, Salvadora and Josepha.  She died at the age of 24 on August 17th, 1896.
