Martin was born in 1887.  Martin's father was José Sabrià Cortada TdeM and his mother was Joaquima Sabrià Ribot (Gualta).  His paternal grandparents were Juan Sabriá Frigola (Pals-Gualta) and Gertrudis Cortada Casagran (Gualta-Gualta); his maternal grandparents were Miquel Sabrià Novells (StIscle-Gualta) and Catalina Ribot (Casavells). He had a brother and six sisters, named Miquel, Gertrudis, Catalina, Maria de Gracia, Francisca, Salvadora and Josepha.  He died at the age of 20 on November 10th, 1907.
