Miquel was born on December 19th, 1774.  Miquel's father was Joseph Ponsatí Negre and his mother was Francisca Saló Pagés (Parlavà-Serra).  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Ponsatí and Francesca Negra; his maternal grandparents are Salvi Saló (Parlavà) and Theresa Pagés. He had three brothers and a sister, named Joan, Cayetano, Pedro and Maria.  He was the second oldest of the five children.  He died at 2 months old on March 14th, 1775.
