Pedro was born on September 28th, 1782.  Pedro's father was Joseph Ponsatí Negre and his mother was Francisca Saló Pagés (Parlavà-Serra).  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Ponsatí and Francesca Negra; his maternal grandparents are Salvi Saló (Parlavà) and Theresa Pagés. He had three brothers and a sister, named Joan, Miquel, Cayetano and Maria.  He was the youngest of the five children.  He died at the age of 2 on December 13th, 1784.
